Nautilus commences operations of 1.9MW solar project in US

CTBR Staff Writer Published 22 August 2012

Solar power producer Nautilus has begun commercial operations at its 1.9MW PV project in Chino, California.

The electricity generated at the roof mounted project will be sold to Southern California Edison under a 20 year power purchase agreement.

Commenting on the commencement of commercial operations Nautilus CEO James Rice said that the project will contribute towards advancing the state of California towards its Renewable Portfolio Standard goals.

"Nautilus Solar continues to be active in the California market and we are expanding our presence through a combination of greenfield development and project acquisitions," added Rice.

The company is part of an investment affiliate of Starwood Energy Group and owns and manages a cumulative portfolio of 89MW across the US and Canada.
